Kein Apple OLED-TV in naher Zukunft sagt LG-Display
Der Ceo von LG-Display Kwon Young Soo sagte heute in einem Interview das Apple im Moment nicht an der OLED-Tv Technologie von LG-Display interessiert sei.
Apple ist zwar an HDTV Technologien im Zusammenhang mit dem Ipad, Iphone interessiert, an der OLED Display Technologie noch nicht.
Apple will Musik, Videos, und TV Inhalte via Itunes auf das Iphone und Ipad streamen. Am meisten stört Apple der noch hohe Preis der OLED Panels.
LG-Display will 2012 einen 55 Zoll OLED-Fernseher auf den Markt bringen der Preis steht allerdings noch nicht fest, allerdings scheint jetzt bereits klar das der Preis um einiges höher sein wird als ein vergleichbarer LCD-Fernseher. Ausserdem ist Apple nicht glücklich über die Lebensdauer, im speziellen bei den blauen OLED Materialien.
Apple are not happy with the limited life span, color balance-related issues and the efficiency of the blue OLED material.
The sources claimed Apple may use picture quality-enhanced and tech-sharpened LCD displays for its televisions, as there are minor differences between OLEDs and LCDs at least to general consumers who don’t have much knowledge of displays.
